Gloria Himes, MS, PCC, SC, has worked in the mental health field since 1987. She has worked in various community mental health agencies, in hospitals with youth and adults, and now for several years at Carlock and Associates. Gloria has treated clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, panic disorder, eating disorders, gay and lesbian issues, and also chemical abuse and dependence. She also provides relationship and couples counseling.
Gloria earned her Enhanced Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from The University of Dayton, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development from Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and an Associates degree in Mental Health Technology from Sinclair Community College in Dayton. In addition, Gloria won a best student paper award at Wright State University where she studied Social Gerontology. Gloria was also honored with a Student Writer’s Recognition Day Award at Sinclair Community College.
In her free time, Gloria enjoys hiking, swimming, painting with watercolors, walking her Australian Shepherd, Chloe, movies, and visiting the Appalachian mountains and Atlantic Ocean beaches. Most of all, Gloria enjoys time with her husband, two adult sons, and three grandchildren.
