Bounce Back Resiliency Training
Eight session structured group meets for 75 minutes sessions. The group includes mini-lectures, demonstrations and focuses on the development of an attitude of optimism, perseverance, taking responsibility for your actions, self-control, social support, adaptability and other coping skills. Participants will practice such skills as deep breathing and other relaxation methods, awareness, centering and grounding, cognitive techniques, assertiveness and boundary maintenance skills. Attention will also be placed on exercise, nutrition and the importance of balance. Fee is $299 for all eight session plus an initial interview and is payable 14 days in advance. Much of what people believe about aging is erroneous and many beliefs about aging are socially programmed. Since the mind does play a substantial role in health, illness and recovery, this program intends to educate participants and give them a better chance of living well as they age. Mindfulness Tools For Depression and Anxiety
Join us for this eight- week course in mindfulness and its application with anxiety and depression. We will introduce the principles of mindfulness and guide you in the practice of mindfulness. You will learn how to adopt the observer position and notice, without judgment, how you grasp or push away mental contents and learn how to focus your attention. You will also be given opportunities to practice awareness of the present moment and an attitude of acceptance. Fee for this educational series is $299 and includes a screening interview.
